Galloping along Central American mountain trails, accompanied only by the thrum of hooves and the occasional flash of a toucan among the trees, might just be one of the world’s top ways to start your morning. But incredibly, in lovely, lush Belize, where eco-slanted adventure travel is king, the day gets even better from here.

I’M LUCKY. I have the best job in the world and it comes with offices scattered all over Belize. Best of all, you get to come along. One of my offices sits 140 feet in the sky at Ox Witz Ha (Place of Three Hills) and was built by some of the oldest construction workers in the world, the ancient Maya. I am on the top of Caana (Sky Palace) in the Maya city now known as Caracol.

The Belize Tourism Board is proud to announce its newest venture: FACEBOOK BELIZE. This November, in an effort to augment posting and comments on our Belize Vacation Facebook page, the BTB has been working harder than ever to find ways of engaging travelers to share their experiences at all points of their vacation. Travelers, who are heading home from a Belize vacation experience, now have the opportunity to post their experiences from a total of three internet stations that are located in the departure area of the Philip Goldson International Airport at Gates 1, 3 and 4. As is customary, most travelers are subjected to a layover time in the departure lounge and it is our hope that our visitors can utilize these stations to comment on their vacation in Belize prior to their departure.

We only have one planet and we need to and we need to conserve our resources. Imagine the destruction one little disruption like pollution, deforestation, soil erosion, etc may cause. Pollution is a serious problem. The contamination of the environment may lead to diseases and creates an inhabitable place. It is very important that we have a clean and safe place to live in. If we don’t conserve our ecosystem endangered species of plants and animals may die out. This affects the food webs and the normal conditions of the habitats.

But just as the Easter egg finds its traditional place as the talisman of new life and the herald of spring, so does Chaa Creek celebrate this age old activity with the multinational cadre of eco-children visiting our 365 acre nature reserve as spring comes to the tropics and announces the nesting time for toucans and parrots within a riotous pallet of brightly coloured trees.

For the uninitiated, Belize is a Central American country about the size of Massachusetts but with a population of only 320,000, and is becoming more and more well-known because it’s a popular port for cruises. It borders the Caribbean Sea on the east, Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula to the north, Guatemala to the west and south.

I want to finally… at 48 years old see the Rainforest!! We are both very active and love life and want to enjoy every minute of the time that we have together…¦ And there is no doubt that BELIZE & CHAA CREEK is the place!!

Belize Honeymoon Vacations
I would love to celebrate my honey moon in Belize and at the Lodge at Chaa Creek because the combination of culture, adventure and luxury that such a beautiful place would provide. Given that my spouse and I are fluent in multiple languages, it would appropriately reflect the culturally diverse and linguistic heritage present in Belize. We enjoy Mayan culture and history and have an admiration for how advanced that ancient civilization was. …

From the days when I would run around the creek behind my house, and build tree houses, and rope swings. To the time I moved to Hawai’i to swim with sharks and study biology. I have spent my short life doing my best to make it an adventure. 
Now I find myself on the brink of my greatest adventure to date marriage. Spending the rest of my life with someone else is bigger than all the tree houses and shark cages …

There is a surprise around every corner in Belize; and guests at Chaa Creek and other area lodges may not know it, but one of the world’s strangest, most unique art galleries is only a short drive away, a few clicks south of Benque Viejo on the Hyrdo Road.
