The following is an email that Mrs. Fleming received from a friend who visited Chaa Creek 22 years ago:
Dear Mick and Lucy:
On 1988 I had the great experience of staying at your cabins, on January to be exact, and today I was  searching for accommodations in San Pedro, and suddenly I found Chaacreek as a hotel option, it brought me back such travel I made in that occasion with my older cousin, I was then  20 …

If you are going to Belize then your experience will not be complete unless you spend some time in the jungle. Chaa Creek is the best of the best when it comes to resorts in the Cayo district. The tree house cabana in which we stayed was fabulous. It was very roomy, clean, had a spectacular deck that included a hot tub and overlooked the Macal river. We happened to be there during a winter cold …

We loved staying here for our Belize honeymoon

This is a beautiful eco-lodge where you will feel like you are in the middle of the rainforest. We stayed in the cottage room and it was beautiful! The room and bathroom are very spacious and beautifully decorated. We also enjoyed cocktails and dinners on our private balcony. It was like having a jungle symphony every night. We could hear howler monkeys, birds and cicada bugs (which sound like loud crickets). The food in the restaurant is amazing.

The staff – always had a smile, were knowledgeable on every topic we questioned, and went above and beyond to accomodate all of our needs
The cottages – The Macal Cottage — beautiful and lavish in everyway (but a little close to the other cottages), and …
